Holiday Farm -
Horse Riding Holidays
We have more than 30 Years experience of catering to the discerning
Rider and can offer the superlative in Riding breaks.
It‘s called simply Horse Holiday Farm, but it‘s
more than just a farm, it‘s more than just another holiday
and the horses offer much more than the average riding holiday
animal.
In fact Horse Holiday Farm is quite simply unique - and for all
the best reasons! Where else would you get the chance to create
your own adventure on horseback - given your own horse for a
week, saddlebags for your belongings and a map with which to
find your way riding through breathtakingly scenic Irish trails,
stopping off each evening at a welcoming guesthouse in the wilds
of Donegal before moving on the next day to explore new trails.
No guide or leader to set the pace - you make your own. No stable
staff to feed and groom your horse - you do that yourself. Diana
Wray, Irish Equestrian
The
Horse is the unique Element of this Holiday.
Horse
Holiday Farm has one of the most impressive collections of friendly,
well-mannered horses you‘ll find in any stable
yard, anywhere. And in more than 10 years of long-distance riding,
I can‘t think of anywhere that offers a warmer welcome
to the novice, or expert rider alike…By Malcolm Bates,
Countryside
Our horse will be yours for at least a week or for as long as
you wish to stay. Our horses are mainly Irish Hunters and Irish
Cobs.
They are unspoilt and enjoy a fresh gallop over miles of beaches.
We have horses to suit all abilities of rider. They are well
mannered and experienced and very sure-footed. You and your horse
will have plenty of time to get to know one another.
Riding by the Sea,
will take you on to the excellent beaches which line the coast
in Sligo. Gallop on the beaches... You stay in the Horse Holiday
Farm and ride each day another daily Trail with a leader. Self
lead Trails – Trail Riding Holidays
You
are given a map, an Irish hunter, saddlebags and the name of
the pub you'll be staying in that night - then you're off.
Six days, at your own pace, along beaches and forest tracks,
mountains and farmland through one of the most untouched parts
of Ireland... Jasper Winn, The
Sunday Times
The Donegal Trails :
Donegal West and Donegal South… …
are two of our most beautiful trails to discover the North West
of Ireland in a week - from the saddle, of course.
The
Yeates Sligo Trail (4 days) Enjoy a few days riding in the
countryside immortalised by the poet William Butler Yeats.
The
Sligo Trail (1 Week) combines both beach riding with rides
through the impressive countryside of County Sligo.
