SLIGO TRAIL, IRELAND

The British Sunday Times published an article 'Changing your Tack - The World's best Trails' based on the findings of a panel of experts which included
John Ruler,  joint author of 'Great Riding Holidays' and editor of  www.rideworldwide.co.uk
Arnold Garvey, editor of 'Horse & Hound'
Jasper Winn,   riding journalist and horsebreaker

The article had this to say about Horse Holiday Farm

What's the attraction?
You're given a map, an Irish hunter and the name of the pub you'll be staying in that night - then you're off.
Six days, at your own pace, along beaches and forest tracks, mountains and farmland through one of the most untouched parts of Ireland. Your bags are transported by vehicle, while fodder and a field for the evening awayt your horse. All tacking and grooming is done by you.

What's the standard? For independent, adventurous riders only.

What the experts say: "Excellent open riding country on very sensible horses in a part of the world where riding is a way of life - and where it's meant to be fun!" (Winn)
